  • Farm visit 16th Feb. Richard Briggs invited us to see the new born lambs and their proud mums on a wonderful spring day, see pictures!.
  • Tues. 11th March The Glasshouse in Musselburgh. We had a great menu with duck breast and goat’s cheese, saphron mash and seabream and a lovely chocalate cheescake. To finish some nice cheeses. Great building too!
  • Thursday 3rd April Scottish meal with Spanish wines! Peter & Elaine McQuade of the Garvald Inn served a lovely 5 course meal. We also enjoyed some delicious, unknown but wonderful organic Spanish wines imported direct from the producers to East Lothian. David Walls of Parades y Bonamy spoke about the wines and we all had forms to write down our comments.
  • 27th April: The first North Berwick Food Fair of 2008 took place at Anchor Green near the Seabird Centre. Wonderful weather and an interesting mix of stalls brought about 1500 people to the Marquee and the bbq; at the tables on the terrace many samples of local produce were enjoyed.
  • 31th of May: Our Tasty lunch in theTrinity Centre Haddington with its lovely patio was attended by 58 people although we had some competition from the Festival Parade. Paella, frittata, Ballencrieff burgers, sticky toffee pudding and meringues with fruit ice cream were on the menu.
  • 20th July The Summer North Berwick Food Fair. Again there were about 1500 people enjoying the good weather and tasting and buying the food; most stall holders were almost sold out by closing-time!
